The Christ Trilogy created by Mihály Munkácsy – Golgota, Ecce Homo and Christ before Pilate – will come to Pécs from the collection of the Déry Museum, thanks to the collaboration between Debrecen and Pécs. The rarity of this exhibition is that Munkácsy himself never saw all these three large pictures, portraying the sufferings of Jesus Christ, next to each other. The three painting cannot be seen together for long because Christ before Pilate is owned by the Hamilton Gallery in Canada and will stay in Hungary only until 2012.
