Katan concert

Barbican Moat |
The band plays arrangements of Transylvanian and Moldavian Hungarian folk songs. Kata Horváti sings the songs with the clear, full-blooded, extraordinary power of expression of those truly initiated into Hungarian folksong. The fine musical “accompaniment” is a worthy partner to the woven pattern. The inspiration for the Katan album came from the musical heritage of the world-famous arrangers of Hungarian folk music, Bartók and Kodály. The world of the two great masters is acknowledged in the harmonisation and motifs of the songs.
A special feature of the concert is that prestigious representatives of different genres are playing together.
With:
Mihály Borbély – saxophone,
Kata Horváti – vocals,
Arnold Antoni – guitar
